2010/2011
During 2010/2011 school year Dromore High School took part in Ulster Schools’ Show Jumping Championships, INTER-Schools League Competition, Schools’ Open Show Jumping League and Schools’ Team Show Jumping League. Teams consist of 3 or 4 riders, 3 lowest scores count in each round. Shows take place over a number of days and accumulate in a final when prizes are awarded.
Dromore Breezes Through the Meadows
Dromore High School Show Jumping team came first in the second round of the Schools’ Open Show Jumping League at The Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan on Saturday 20th November. The team consisted of Kirsten Farr riding Apollo, Christina Rosbotham on Moss Road Flyer and Shannon Clingan on My Show Man. They finished on a zero score in a combined time of 83 seconds. This was 3 seconds faster than second place. Miss Kilpatrick, teacher in charge, was delighted as they are a very young team and they put in a fantastic display of quality jumping to fight off tough competition. Hopefully this team will have many great competitions ahead of them.
